    What are StageTips?

    StageTips are pre-packed solid phase extraction (SPE) tips that combine ease of use with the proven performance of Empore™ membrane technology. Each tip is machine-pressed in an ISO-9001 clean room using automated precision tooling — eliminating the variability of manual packing and delivering consistent sorbent loading across every tip in every lot.

    Available in 10 µL and 200 µL formats, StageTips cover the full range from ultra-sensitive single-cell proteomics to standard routine workflows. Up to 6 sorbent layers can be stacked in a single tip, enabling integrated desalting and fractionation in one step.

    Filter 50–100 µL methanol. Keep membrane wet.

    Filter 50–100 µL of 0.5% TFA. Keep membrane wet.

    Pipette sample into tip. Max 400 µL, 40 µg peptide per C18-HD tip.

    Filter 50–100 µL 0.5% TFA, then 50–100 µL 0.5% acetic acid.

    Filter 10–30 µL of 80% ACN, 0.5% acetic acid. Repeat 1–2×. MS-ready.

    10 µL vs. 200 µL — which size fits your workflow?
    The 10 µL format is built for ultra-sensitive, micro-scale proteomics — including single-cell applications with sample volumes as low as 0.1 µL. Available in C18-HD and SDB-RPS. The 200 µL format covers standard workflows up to 200 µL and is available across all sorbent chemistries with multi-layer configurations.
    How many sorbent layers do you need?
    2-layer tips handle most desalting tasks. For higher binding capacity — when processing more than 20 µg peptide or working with dilute samples — more layers help. C18-HD is available in 2, 3, 4, and 6 layers; SDB-XC and SDB-RPS in 2, 4, and 6 layers.

    384 StageTips per tray, two trays per pack, 100 µL tip volume. Available across all 30+ Empore sorbent chemistries. Designed for high-throughput labs processing large sample batches — with lower per-tip costs and full compatibility with multichannel pipettes and automation.
